Our Commitment to Sustainable Packaging

At Seedhouseplants, we understand the impact our lifestyles and waste can have on the environment. That’s why we’re committed to minimizing unnecessary waste wherever possible, especially in our packaging, while ensuring your plants arrive safe and sound.

Eco-Friendly Packaging

We’ve designed our packaging to be completely plastic-free and fully recyclable or reusable. Here’s how we prioritise sustainability:

  • Recycled Materials: We use shredded paper created from recycled paper and reuse boxes whenever possible. When new boxes are required, we ensure they are made from sustainably sourced or recycled materials.

  • Recyclable Tape: To seal our packages, we use paper Kraft tape, which can be recycled along with the cardboard box.

  • Zero Plastic: All our packaging materials are biodegradable or recyclable, so you can dispose of them responsibly with your household recycling.

How We Package Your Plants

We take extra care to package our products securely and sustainably. Here’s what you can expect when you order from us:

Succulents

  • Each succulent is individually wrapped in paper to protect both the pot and foliage.

  • We use shredded paper to fill any empty space in the box, ensuring your plants stay snug and safe during transit.

  • Note: Some soil may become loose during delivery. Simply brush it away upon arrival, and your plant will be ready to enjoy!

Houseplants

  • Our houseplants are wrapped in a sturdy cardboard tube with sealed ends to minimize movement and prevent damage.

  • Any remaining space in the box is filled with shredded paper to ensure the plant is not crushed during transit.

Letterbox Houseplants

  • These plants are sent bare-rooted, carefully wrapped in tissue paper, and sealed in compostable bags to retain moisture.

  • The compact packaging is designed to fit through your letterbox while keeping your plant safe and healthy.

Why It Matters

By choosing sustainable packaging, we reduce waste, minimise our environmental footprint, and contribute to a greener future. Our efforts ensure that your plants arrive in perfect condition while caring for the planet we all share.
